So this has been going on for awhile and I've just dealt with it. Basically the title says it all, sometimes it idles low and stalls when I'm stopped (or slowing down with the clutch in - super annoying). Not always but probably like 30-40% of the time.
When the tank got replaced for the swelling issue I had them replace the fuel filter hoping it would be the culprit but no dice.
Thoughts?

I was having this issue. Did the fuel filter change with no results (it needed it anyway). Ended up doing a TPS reset and throttle body sync. Still no help. Ended up opening the idlers to bring the idle up a couple hundred RPM and haven't had problems since.
You guys have stock ECU? Mine has idle issues with the DP ECU and full Termis. Engine stalls, or if I give it throttle it will sometimes hold idle around 2000 rpm. Only temporary solution I've found to the high revving is bringing the engine almost to the point of stalling, then clutch in and it will usually reset to a normal idle speed. Seems like more of an electronic issue than a fuel filter issue.
i had the same issues a year ago when i got the bike. resetting the TPS, resync'ing the TB, and a valve adjustment did the trick. have just started having same issues (though to a much lesser degree) recently; time to go see my mechanic again.
At least I'm not the only one. Mine has the termis and ECU kit. I think I understated it a bit at first, it is a really annoying issue. I constantly have to be mindful of letting go of the throttle, and find myself having to rev it very slightly when stopped to keep the idle up.

as Ducofwestwood mentions a valve job, the last time only other time i had a consistent issue with stalling was around 6-7k miles, then it was fine after the 7500 mile valve adjustment. now im at 13k and it has started consistently stalling again. could it be the valves?
Guys, have any of you thought about the battery, voltage regulator/rectifier, etc?
Have any of you tried turning the air bleeds out further?
Try lube the throttle control body, the part that the cable connects to, this part is tensioned and will loose it's tension slightly over time because cable do strech and the spring on the throttle control gets weaker as time go by.
With the analog tac it's hard to judge if you are idling a couple hundred rpm lower than it should, my sits right above the 1000 rpm line. I had the same issue and was idling just below the 1000 rpm line.
Also adjust your throttle cable make sure there is only 2-4mm slack. and only if needed use the air bleeder if the above doesn't solve your issue.

Basically just turning the air bleeds out a bit. You should do a TPS and TB sync first though. The air bleeds are the screws on the sides of the TB's and have a black cap over them.

oh believe me, i can relate. i commute in city traffic every day and it used to constantly stall in the midst of said traffic. not a fun situation to be in. get thee to a mechanic!
