The other day while riding the clutch went mushy and the clutch did not dis-engage looked the resovoir and it was empty. To make a long story short, went on a ride after I bled the clutch line, and the resvoior went empty again.
Well bled the lines, and find that I'm not having a leak a the connection points. Also know there is no leak in the master cylinder. After riding for a little while, it goes mushy again.
So would it be my slave cylinder??? Also how do I get to that part on my bike??? I have a 97' M750, this is my first bike bought it used. I also bought it so that I could work on it. Only had it for about a month now.
I'm going to check the clutch slave cylinder. I do know that on new bikes it's outside of the crankcase. But on my bike I have a feeling that it's on the inside of the cover. Is this correct thinking????? When I pull the cover off I assume that I will need to drain the oil correct????? then pull the cover off and all the miscellaneous that is connect to the plate????
I need to fix this clutch problem. Anyone have any diagrams and pics of how to look at it since it's an internal part on my bike?????

Yes, your slave cylinder is mounted inside the right side cover.
I think you're only going to be able to get ducati parts for it, there's no aftermarket slaves for that bike that I'm aware of.
Drain the oil before pulling the cover off.
I've not had my hands on that style of engine, so hopefully someone here who has can give you some more specific info on how to proceed.
If you put '97 750 in the title, that will help with responses.
I always wondered what fixes were available if more than a seal was needed. Or, if it is even serviceable. You may need to buy a new sidecover.

Ducati is the only source I know of for those seals. I have not spent the time to research wether there is an o-ring commercially available that would work as well. It is an easy swap. If you are comfortable laying your bike over on the left side on something soft ( tires work well) then you can do the swap with out loosing any oil.
Yours sounds like it is failing badly so you will want to get the parts ordered asap, I would not be surprised if no one had them in stock.
When i had mine apart to powder coat the cases i used automotive o-rings.
I have one of those assorted size kits in metric and standard. I just picked out the best fit for each groove.
I won't say that it was the wisest choice, but they've got 2000 miles on them with no problems so far.
