I've spent all of my free time over the past 3-4 weeks fixing up my buddies bike. It's a Yamaha YZF600R. This thing has been laid down multiple time, had scratches, cracks, warped, and even completely broken panels. I've done my share of body work in the past so I taught him and helped him get this thing straight. Here's some pics of the project. This was all done in his backyard with no special tools and it's a rattle-can paint job.

The one thing not done yet is the front lower fairing. I'm making a custom fiberglass piece with the Thundercat logo since the YZF600R is known as the Thundercat. It's gonna take a little while and he's leaving state so we had to finish everything else up. I'll mail it to him when I'm done, but this should give you an idea of what's to come....

Very nice work. The Thundercat logo stencil looks really neat.
At some point in time, you ought to do a tutorial about doing custom fiberglass (sorry if someone else has already done this). I'm sure a lot of folks here wouldn't mind trying their hand at that.

It kinda is ;)
Great work on the cheap
[thumbsup]
Great job! Nothing wrong with a good rattle can job, I painted my old GS1150ES with rattle cans and it looked good ~
