Title: Front Brembo coffin acting funny.
Post by: bdfinally on June 26, 2011, 06:38:38 PM
It's developed an catch in the pull. It isn't consistent and happens just occasionally. If I continue to pull it'll "let go" and have a normal feel to it. Bike is a '00 M750 with Pazzo long levers, new Ferrodo Platinum pads and a Racetech Axis Iron rotor just mounted up this week. Any ideas?

I know from looking into it a couple of years ago brembo doesn't really offer rebuild kits, so I was just cheking out yoyodyne and Brembo is offering a 16 mm coffin for only a few bucks more than the 13mm standard (looks like new microswitch is included.) Any advantage gained by the extra 3 mm on a single rotor system?

Did you try a drop of oil in the rubber sleeve?
My clutch did the same thing and I fixed it that way.

If not, yes the master you're looking at comes with a switch,
but I think a 16mm won't be very functional - it will be a very very short action of the lever.
Going from 13 to 16 is a huge difference.
Ask Fred at Yoyodyne - he'll know more!
