Title: Added a GPS unit onto my Monster Post by: justin-branam on June 29, 2011, 07:50:00 PM I have been looking for GPS mounts, and couldn't seem to find a decent one that I liked. So, I waited for the boss to leave and fired up the CNC machine after work ;D. I made this one out of hpde plastic. The unit slips in from the top and is a snug fit. It clears the tank at full turn and I can still see the guages. It is mounted directly to the handlebar clamp, so there is no vibration. Power is hardwired to an ignition source so the battery doesn't drain when the bike isn't running. Just thought I'd share, since I am pretty happy about the way it turned out.

How is the visibility while riding? in bright conditions? I only got it out last night so I can't comment about bright conditions yet. The visibility though is awesome. The angle seems to be right where I want it. I'm taking it for an out of town ride this weekend, so I can comment more about it afterwards. Is that a Roadracing Tank? More pics please!
