is it an insert on the upper one that can be removed? Works perfect for me as removing the other would be a bit Boom tube ish (not a bad thing, but LOUD).

[thumbsdown] Good effort with everything else though. Title: Re: 1100 Mods done...QD, RIZOMA, CARBON, CRG, WHEELS, H COMP, BELLISIMOTO, SPDMOTO Post by: OneWheelDrive on July 05, 2011, 07:37:17 PM Please tell me you're joking with the horns [puke]. Otherwise, seriously nice bolt-ons.

Maybe even paint the bottom of the headlight red to to match the horn. Must have one of those!! Love it.... with just the one exception :o Title: Re: 1100 Mods done...QD, RIZOMA, CARBON, CRG, WHEELS, H COMP, BELLISIMOTO, SPDMOTO Post by: $Lindz$ on July 05, 2011, 09:07:54 PM (http://www.pezcyclingnews.com/photos/charles/mid3.jpg) (http://djgetlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/SoGood_large.jpg) But then.... Everything else looks top notch with these suggestions: -Spring painted red -Lose VIN tag on right side (stick under seat) -Remove reflectors (could put red reflective tape on frame where VIN used to be if you really want to be seen) Title: Re: 1100 Mods done...QD, RIZOMA, CARBON, CRG, WHEELS, H COMP, BELLISIMOTO, SPDMOTO Post by: Frustration on July 06, 2011, 07:25:01 AM Yeah the horns are love/hate. I love em... But they're out there.
The best part is people litterally jumping in their seats as you give em a blip when they're merging over on you. They get back FAST. They also make heads SNAP around and cars stop dead on city streets of drivers pulling out... Mostly that's what I wanted... I have some black hyper-reflective tape that I could use right on the forks rather than the reflectors... It works well too and hits from all angles... Good thinking. I like the horns. (http://inlinethumb56.webshots.com/47607/2823329010103537997S500x500Q85.jpg) Title: Re: 1100 Mods done...QD, RIZOMA, CARBON, CRG, WHEELS, H COMP, BELLISIMOTO, SPDMOTO Post by: arai_speed on July 06, 2011, 10:31:28 AM I'm with others - love the bike! Hate the horns! I mean hate.
Picture a really hot looking girl who just pooped her pants - that's the reaction I get. For that i applaud you. [clap]

Get rid of airbox, mount pod filters, install horns on inside of frame. There is a ton of room with the air box gone. Would look really clean then Title: Re: 1100 Mods done...QD, RIZOMA, CARBON, CRG, WHEELS, H COMP, BELLISIMOTO, SPDMOTO Post by: thought on July 06, 2011, 05:27:09 PM or you can try to fit these somewhere else too...
http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-horns/horn-comparison-part-2/ (http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-horns/horn-comparison-part-2/) much slimmer than the super tones so you will prob have more placement options. Get rid of airbox, mount pod filters, install horns on inside of frame. There is a ton of room with the air box gone. Would look really clean then Yeah. But then the horns wouldn't "project" as well. No, seriously. The horns are awesome. ;) [beer] Title: Re: 1100 Mods done...QD, RIZOMA, CARBON, CRG, WHEELS, H COMP, BELLISIMOTO, SPDMOTO Post by: ungeheuer on July 07, 2011, 02:52:51 AM Simple solution.... Theres actually a slight amount of room outside the trellis if I had a clamp made for the frame,
(http://www.pezcyclingnews.com/photos/charles/mid6.jpg) but I wanted them un-interupted and, well, I like the way they look, right where they are so I had the mounts made for that spot specifically after looking at it both ways ;D Totally expected the comments, hell thats why I tossed my own "Fugly" right in the first post... one of the better parts of the monster is all the options for what you can do. And or all of the comments folks can make while never doing much of anything beyond talking about other stuff. It's all part of the fun! Title: Re: 1100 Mods done...QD, RIZOMA, CARBON, CRG, WHEELS, H COMP, BELLISIMOTO, SPDMOTO Post by: Frustration on July 07, 2011, 07:05:44 PM or you can try to fit these somewhere else too... http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-horns/horn-comparison-part-2/ (http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-horns/horn-comparison-part-2/) much slimmer than the super tones so you will prob have more placement options. Not only are the Supertones larger and deeper, you want to use the stock mounts for them (the three bars) and make sure that mount has room to vibrate to get the max tone and volume from the horns... (http://www.pezcyclingnews.com/photos/charles/MID7.jpg) Without digging in to how the horns work at max, it might seem like you can bend the strap mount and or bolt em a few different ways, but doing it right on this bike means machining something and freeing up the whole mech to work at peak... I mean, I hardly even use my horn (my exhaust and clutch is way louder than it) but when I have, it's really only served to piss car drivers off not make them respect your space on the bike. Loud Title: Re: 1100 Mods done...QD, RIZOMA, CARBON, CRG, WHEELS, H COMP, BELLISIMOTO, SPDMOTO Post by: TAftonomos on July 08, 2011, 02:05:45 PM Looks good, minus the horns.
If you traffic constricts you bad enough that you have to check up on cages, I feel bad for ya. Traffic around here is "loose" enough I just make my own hole. No horn is going to save someone from coming over on me. I either cover the brake well enough or I'm on the gas and squirt on by. I get the "in the face" thing though... I got cut off this morning and gave a guy a horn blast and he lurched back over out the way then tucked in behind me... followed me on to my street and in the parking section where I work (large distribution facility with a bunch of large guys as a nice back up). I'm thinking ok here it comes, he's gonna want a "go"... He gets out and has a big smile on his face and says "you just made me sh!t myself! Can I see how you mounted those and wired them?? I'm going out and buying them as soon as we're done talking":D Title: Re: 1100 Mods done...QD, RIZOMA, CARBON, CRG, WHEELS, H COMP, BELLISIMOTO, SPDMOTO Post by: Frustration on January 05, 2012, 05:09:56 PM Kinda sad day...
