My seat is warm and messing with my Goretex pants capabilities.
It's not like I need to be even warmer in that area either.
So, I'm thinking about moving the regulator.
I haven't really checked, but was thinking about flipping it to sit under the underseat plastic.
If I'm lucky I could cut a little plastic and bolt it to the same frame holes - just upside down - into fresh air.
What do you think?
TPO actually sells a kit for exactly what you are looking for. Well sort of. The kit which removes the still air box and the crankcase breather comes with a plate in which to hold the regulator. I have mine mounted in the upside down position. In theory, it gets more air, less hot, and should give extended life.
Do it; you won't be sorry.

Not so sure I want to mess with the breather/collector assembly though :-\

So, removing some plastic first is in order? ;)

FTR, it's no laughing matter when your bike catches fire, all systems go dead, and you're lane splitting rush hour traffic on the interstate in downtown L.A. at about 35 mph.
Don't want to mess with the breather stuff? No biggy. But I strongly suggest you still relocate the regulator so it can get some wind. Mount it almost anywhere: below the headlight, off the oil cooler, zip tie it to the side of your frame trellis, something, anything.
