Title: 6,000 miles Service
Post by: mysticbluex3 on July 08, 2011, 01:14:41 PM
I just hit my 6,000 mile mark.  What is a fare price to get it serviced at a dealership?  A local trusted bike shop says they will do the service for $180 if I do my own oil and filter change.  What is normally done at the 6,000 mark?  I have a 09 M696.

at the bottom was a interesting article:

admittedly for a 1098 and a good while back but i'm guessing that it should either be close or less than this amount because it's a 2v vs a 4v.

Looking forward to servicing your 1098? Here are the DNA mandated shop charges inclusive of labour, but not including taxes

600 mile service - $144.38
7500 mile service - $ 256.88
15000 mile service - $ 362.20
After 7500 mile Valve service ("Service A") - $ 294.80
After 15000 mile Valve service ("Service B") - $366.30

Your owner's manual has a comprehensive list of what the various service items should be.

Pricing depends on where in this world you are ... approximately where are you located?
