Good morning DMFers. So I have been working on my first tire change and have managed to put a small nick in the paint on my rim. Problem is the nick is directly on the bead of the rim. Running a finger over the nick feels as if it is just the paint but I am no expert in this area so i will solicit responses here.
1. is this a problem
2. do i need to have the rim looked at by a pro
3. from the pics below what would your suggestions / next step be?

I'd mount the new tire and not worry about it.
Thanks for the input duckpainter. Since this is your area of expertise would you have any recommendations as to whether or not i should touch up the paint or what to use?
About to start prying off the front... more carefully this time.
it's on the inside, not the bead area. you can see the track where the tire sits to the left of it in the first pic (tire residue) it will stay dry for the most part. if you're worried about it, dry it and spritz some paint on it.. who cares what color (mask the rest of the rim).. let it dry and mount your tire. be thankful you did that on the INSIDE of the rim and not the outside! [thumbsup]
Thanks fellas . the front tire came off without a hitch so I will be posting my first how to soon . :)

I wouldn't bother.
