Hey, what happens in my bedroom is my own business!! ;D
Fastest I've ever driven/ridden is probably 160 on a 911 turbo.
On the monster, about 130 (140 indicated) on the hill country trip
On the CBR, about 150
First time on LBJ Pkwy somewhere around Farmers Branch heading toward DFW There were no cars on the road and I was on my wifes S4R doing about 110 my buddy pulls about 2 mile wheelie standing on rear pegs. He sets the front end down and takes off I hit about 155 (on speedo) and all of a sudden the road starts getting these crazy rolling humps in it and I leterally came out of my seat. (One of those times when your whole life flashes in front of your eyes) I thought I was a gonner. Coasted back down to 85 and havn't seen that speed since. Gotta know your roads. Shouldn't even have tried, his GSXR 600 was making me look very foolish even attempting to keep up with him.

This is a 695 right? Is this Randall?
Oh yeah, upper 140mph on the 848. I ran out of flat clear road

'Tis a 695, with the termis and other assorted goodies. The speedo indicated 140 but I highly doubt it was going that fast. I've noticed it has about a 10% error whenever it gets above 50, so I really don't know!
That's why I guessed about 130
Buried the tach of the Busa on the Indian Nation Turnpike in Oklahoma. It has an Ivan's Performance Timing Retard Eliminator which masks the top speed restrictor in 6th gear. Didn't watch the speedo, they are no good at that end of the dial anyway, just watched the tach. [moto]

You should race the Vespa for pinks l' Smart says it's fast

got my buddies m5 to 155 a few times.
on the bike only up to about 110 give or take (stupid off speedo) m750
S4RS @ 145mph indicated on the Lake Fork causeway (with passenger yelling, "Faster! Faster!") sans helmets. [bang]
Later, she said, "That was cool."
The fastest I've gone lately was 25mph indicated (I'd guess 22.3-22.7mph) on my street. I remember the tach bouncing on the 1500rpm mark as I kept the clutch disengaged and coasted to a stop. Great stuff.
In reality, I think the SV650 has had 140mph indicated on a Casino Run, before I had any sense mortal fear of crashing.
In trackdays, in level 1 or in the 3 laps of level 2 I've managed, I think my fastest was 110 in the straight at TWS. It's a looooooooong straight, but I didn't feel like braking hard.
155 on a buel xb12r then the rev limiter kicked in. On the monster 130!
The radar said 135 but the cop said it looked like I slowed from 150 before he got a read. Speedo said 160. It was my birthday and he still threw me in the pokey. Then the tow truck dooche dropped my bike so you know it was a happy birthday to me. '96 900RR. It saw 160'ish several times but that's the one that kind of sticks in my mind.
Lane that really sucks. Talk about a shitty b-day. :P Maybe the cop, ticket, pokey all make for a good story years later but the duffass towdude that dropped your bike just screwed the whole story. Buzzkill... no, even better, turd in the pool. :P Oh, and I'm sure they denied that any damage was caused by them and it was that way when they picked it up. Hope you've had a couple of better birthdays since then.
150 indicated on I-30 Westbound see signature for bike details. It was on the long stretch of new road before 6 Flags, the bike still had plenty more to go but my nuts shriveled up after a few seconds :-[ .
on the duc i quite looking at 120 but kept grabbin throttle. i guess i felt i should focus on other things at that speed. same road between stillwater and tulsa coming back dan was ridin mine and my short arse was stretched out on his busa he said we were doing 130 when i ran off and left him but i can't confirm it because i never looked down at that speedo. i know we were flyin though. i let him catch up and we swapped bikes back because i just wasn't ready for the kinda power that thing has. my heart was about to jump out of my chest. plus it was just to big for a guy my size.
not sure how fast on the track ( am I the only one taping my damn speedo?!?!?! ), but I did 162 on the triple 9 in the hill country [thumbsup] The Xerox stickers DEFINITELY make it go faster.

well, based on that stat, my 162 was probably like 35 or something lame like that :-\
Thats crazy seeing the GPS max speed
No doubt, Rich. You should have Ron show you how to push start that thing, though...
130's on the S2R with the needle buried around 8500. It simply stops accelerating at that point just shy of the rev limiter. No performance mods.

LOL, I think that's in chapter 2 of the official tow truck policy manual. DENY, DENY, DENY.
I was always amazed at how solid the bike felt at those speeds but I gotta believe that pushing 200 is a little different than 160 even on the Busa no?
Busa ain't got nuthin' on the 1098 ;D

200 would be some sort of record, I would bet that is was 180 something at the most. Too damn fast either way. At least I do it where it's semi safe... is that actually possible? I've ridden that same stretch of turnpike for over twenty years and there is this sweet spot where you crest over hill and can see like two miles down the road to the next rise. It's smooth as a billiard table and being a turnpike there are no intersecting roads. You can clearly see if there is any traffic or troopers. If it's clear just tuck in and roll it on. Been doing that since my first run up to the Scenic Drive on my then new '81 R100RS Beemer. Haven't seemed to have stopped and don't plan to. [thumbsup] And yes, it's eerie how incredibly stable at speed today's superbikes are. A long way from the "hinge in the middle" framed CB750/900s, KZ1000s, etc. Oh yeah, took nads to ride those over 120!
Had my '96 CBR900RR topped out for a while at about 168 indicated in the Nevada desert.
Pretty sure I coulda got another 10 mph out of it if I didn't have the wife and all our luggage on board.
About 130 or so on my S2R, she had more to give but after about 110 the wind turbulence really gets to be an issue.
Topped out my 996 on the way to ECR back in April, the same day that it got hurt... :( Think I hit about 160-170? Somewhere in there.

no offense to your Uncle Ben, but that was actually Winston Churchill.
for fast, I'm pretty sure my Monster doesn't like to go much faster than 130 on the tach - seems to feel a bit unstable and fighting the throttle after that. That said, 115 is standard cruising speed on the Houston area commuter farm roads and she seems very comfortable there. almost
too comfortable. like yesterday when I was barely able to break into the 80's before getting pulled over.
Fastest ever was prolly in the 140's on the back of my ex's daytona 675 -- not sure of the exact # but I do remember having to hold on so tight that my arms and legs were very sore for a while (and I'm pretty damn strong...for a girl).

Wow! Do you dress in red spandex and go around shooting people with sticky white secretions?
In keeping with the OP's question, you must ask how fast was he in shooting white secretions?
Actually, I just try to go faster than the Cagers!
I have no clue... I glimpsed the speedo at 150 on TWS' straight, but was not done speeding up through the straight... I never really check the speedo on the track.
Have put Andre's SV to an indicated 142, and that was dumb... way too fast for country roads (i am done with that part of my life)
Have gone downhill on a skateboard at over 40mph in New Mexico...
But most importantly, have gotten my monster 620 to 190mph, against 20mph wind gusts... uphill... on a turn... COMPLETELY STOCK!!! :o [wine]
How about them apples? ;D
BTW, doing the Texas Track Days this sunday at Cresson if anyone is going.
Later.
Oh boy, here it goes. The lid is off now for sure! Didn't Patrick have a "bullshit" thread for this stuff? [laugh]
