Title: want an Ignitech TCIP4? or Ignijet (EFI)? (Group buy closing MARCH 15)
Post by: ducatiz on July 14, 2011, 07:15:58 AM
I am going to order one or two.  They are â,¬110 each plus shipping, that's $145+exchange cost (about 3-4%).  Shipping is the same if I get up to 4 or 5.

If you're interested, let me know.  There is plenty of info here and on TOB and on BikeBoy's website.

These are for carbie bikes only.  Plug and play functionality.

http://ignitech.cz/english/aindex.htm (http://ignitech.cz/english/aindex.htm)

TCIP4 programming software:
http://ignitech.cz/key/40%20tcip4/tcip4.exe (http://ignitech.cz/key/40%20tcip4/tcip4.exe)

EDIT 2/21/2012
I moved this to the General board to see if we can get the number up.  I was only doing it for the CAM area.  If you aren't local, the cost to ship to you will be about $7.  That is a small flat rate box + insurance + tracking.

Apparently there is a 15% discount for quantity so figure that into the price.

If you have a bike with the older Bosch ignition (Pantah/bevel) they can be used too.

I have this unit on my 900SS and it's pretty amazing.  Comes plug-and-play ready to run, and you can tweak the advance curve.  You can also add a retard function if you add a TPS (use FCRs with the TPS or pick up a set of CV carbs from a Yammy TDM).  You can download their software at the link above and fiddle with it to see how many parameters you can tweak.

I can post plenty of info about them, they are pretty amazing.

http://bikeboy.org/ducati2vignition.html (http://bikeboy.org/ducati2vignition.html)

They also have an EFI control unit for Magnetti Marelli IAW5.9 and IAW5.AM

Reviving an old thread: I'm a definite "in" on purchasing a tcip4 , so just wanted to know if anyone else is interested.

I've contacted Ignitech and they will offer a 15% discount if 2+ units are ordered so there's another incentive to jump in. [thumbsup]

I'm closing this on March 15.

So far I have :

Speedog 1
xcaptainxbloodx 1
gwjcat 1
Pepe 1
Ducatiz 2
pantaheads-radocal 1
pantaheads-jim 1

That's 8 total.  I might figure on getting 9 just for s&g.  I am also ordering extra wiring looms for myself.

I assume everyone besides me wants the kokusan wiring and not the bosch wiring (pantahs/bevels).  If you want BOSCH wiring for an older bike, please let me know asap.

The Kokusan wiring is for every Ducati after about 91-92 with carbs.  The Bosch BTZ ignition is on the 1970-1980 bikes i.e. bevels and pantahs.

I'll be sending out a notice to you, please PM your email address.

For deposit, you'll pay your share of the shipping plus the domestic shipping.  I don't have the full quote, but I think the shipping from Europe is going to run around â,¬70-80 total, so you figure â,¬10 each (about $13 plus another $7 for USPS priority + insurance), so your deposit will be a minimum of $20.

It depends on how many I get, at this point I have 8 confirmed and that is â,¬110 each plus â,¬9 each for shipping to the US, and then another $6-7 for priority shipping inside the US.

if I can get a 2 more, I can get the price down another â,¬10 per unit and the shipping is the same.

doesn't have to be the TCIP4, it can be the IgniJet too, they give the discount based on the number of units sold.

I have 5 days left on a module I bid for on ebay. If I don't win, I'm in! Not likely that I'll win sense I only bid 70 bucks. I would rather have this new system. Will I need one or two to convert the system over?

Did I mention you suck?  I bought mine week ago, thinking the 900 would be running.

My TCPI4 sits on the bike, waiting for me to finish it.

You suck.

But I take that all back when you accept my order for a aluminum s4r tank for my 07' monster.

Bah.   >:( [roll] ;D ???  :-[ :-\ :-\ [thumbsup] [cheeky]

ignitech group buy

If you emailed me about getting one, and you're not here, drop me a line , I get brainfade now and then..

ME  -2 Kokusan
Pepe -1 kokusan
gwjcat  -1  KKsan
xcaptainbloodx   -1  KKsan
speedog -1  KKsan
jamesmacysanborn -1   KKSAN
Dan -2   KKSAN

Other lists:
5 definite (all Bosch models)

13 sold so far.

I am also ordering some pickups from them, they are cheap.  If you want replacement Kokusan or Bevel pickups, the discounted price is about €12 each (24 for a pair).

Anyone in for an IgniJet?  Everything is at the discounted price, which is about 30% off the sale price (or more, I haven't looked at their current retail)

The plan is to send out requests for a deposit on or about the 10th and hopefully everyone will reply by the 15th and then order right away.

If you haven't send me your name and email, do so now but I think I have everyone above.

One more week.

Requests for deposits go out soon.

Deposit will be $25.  That's roughly a 20% deposit.

Total per unit:

€93.50  (as of today xe.com says that is  $122.761)
€9.20 ($12.08 - shipping from europe to me -  including customs fee)
$8.05 (shipping from me to you --- USPS priority flat rate + $200 insurance + confirmation)
Subtotal  $142.89 (based on today's foreign exchange rate from xe.com)
3% paypal exchange fee (this is the payment TO them from me since it is going to Czech republic)

= YOUR GRAND total (based on today's exchange rate)  to your door:
= $147.18

A couple of caveats:

1.  When you send me paypal payments, you need to eat the cost of the transfer.  Send me the payment as a gift, which means you pay the exchange.

2.  I need you to send the deposit ASAP when I request it.  If you want, you can send a money order to me by mail, but I prefer Paypal for the deposit.  For the balance, you can send a check or money order instead of paypal to avoid the paypal fee (it's like 3%)

3.  I can't avoid the foreign exchange fee.  Paypal socks it to you for sending money overseas even if you send it in dollars.  I will be paying the balance out of my check account so I won't have bank fees too, but the paypal exchange fee is unavoidable.

Just for clarity, their pricing does not include VAT, right?

yes, that price excludes VAT.  The price for ONE excl VAT is €120, and shipping for one unit is €20.  total about $180 if you buy one alone and that doesn't include the foreign exchange fee for paypal, about $5.

I don't know if I can get the price any lower with more units, I'll post a final price when I order.  It won't go UP, but it may go DOWN
