Title: Quick Axle Compatibility Question ('04 620 - '09 696)
Post by: Kegan on July 16, 2011, 05:26:32 PM
I have a 2004 M620D, and would like to buy (off eBay) a replacement axle that came from a 2009 M696. Ducati part numbers for the axles are ALMOST identical:

819.1.017.1A (2004 620)
819.1.017.1B (2009 696)

Any ideas as to whether it's a direct fit? I think it works by looking at it, but I'd love a second opinion.

I would assume so. It seems to me that all post 2000 Monsters have 25mm front axles, although that's just from research on this forum.

It should be, if it's hollow then it probably is. Take a ruler and measure the hole, 25mm is roughly 1 inch.
