Title: VDST for S4RS Post by: CDawg on July 19, 2011, 01:39:03 PM Anyone has a VDST for a S4RS locally? I'm thinking about getting my ECU flashed and need to do a TPS reset and adjust A/F trim.
Thx. Title: Re: VDST for S4RS Post by: Howie on July 19, 2011, 02:33:58 PM You might want to call Steve at ECS http://www.europeancycleservices.com/ (http://www.europeancycleservices.com/)
He will take care of the flash and set the bike up for you, plus a dyno run if you want. His price will be very reasonable. You need an exhaust gas analyzer as well as a VDST. Title: Re: VDST for S4RS Post by: CDawg on July 20, 2011, 06:13:16 AM That's a good combo deal! Thanks, Howie!

Its not really in my budget to get it, but i would need to do all that stuff.

Looking like I may hold off for another season...going to divert the funds from ECU work to a set of mesh/textile gear...just too warm for leathers, even if they are perforated. Title: Re: VDST for S4RS Post by: He Man on July 22, 2011, 06:44:11 PM i wear textile more than i wear leather all year around.
reason? Textile is lighter by tons, its way more flexiable for everyday wear removing and donning, and they are almost always 3 season jackets. I have a million reasons to go textile over leather, I reserve leather for the track or twistys. Title: Re: VDST for S4RS Post by: beancounter on July 22, 2011, 07:26:50 PM CDawg,
Dainese has good summer textile jackets. I use the first version of dainese air and love it. Check out the link below. http://www.revzilla.com/product/dainese-air-2-textile-jacket (http://www.revzilla.com/product/dainese-air-2-textile-jacket) You may also want to pair that with vented textile pants. I was looking at Drake air - also from dainese. Unfortunately, my size is back ordered in the pants... is that the VDST? doesnt it work for all ECU before the new gen came out? I havent had my TPS reset (or adjusted my trim and CO2 levels for exhaust) since the 6000 maintence. (i have 29,000 right now). I was going to ride up to ECS, but i figure if i have to do it, and my friends have to do it might as well buy it myself and just rent it out until i recover the cost or something... Im pretty sure its a 1 hour job at anyway, but I dont think you can do a CO2 with this...only idle trim. I am thinking about picking up that S2R1k arrows and will need all that stuff done, so im not sure if i should just bring it to ECS and have them do it or buy the kit. To be honest, id probably never really use it anyway. :P over 23,000 miles since the last reset until the bike is starting to REALLY need it. :P Title: Re: VDST for S4RS Post by: Howie on July 25, 2011, 11:24:36 AM http://www.houstonsuperbikes.com/product_info.php?products_id=450&osCsid=335c373939e7d951f5436e75633b020c (http://www.houstonsuperbikes.com/product_info.php?products_id=450&osCsid=335c373939e7d951f5436e75633b020c) is that the VDST? doesnt it work for all ECU before the new gen came out? Exhaust change does not affect this. Mixture is affected though. Unless you want to guess, CO (idle ) trim (there is no CO2 adjustment) requires an exhaust analyzer. |
