Title: Trying To Relocate my Choke Post by: SwampMonster on July 21, 2011, 08:35:21 PM I have just received my IMA top and bottom triple clamps for my '95 m900 and am looking to move my choke. Anyone out there have any pointers or suggestions I would love to hear them.

The very early monsters came with a choke cable very much like a car with a simple pull knob. Some were mounted up by the bars and some were closer to the carbs on the side. Maybe you could get one of those. I can post a photo later, but it's very simplistic and keep the cables short and out of the way Title: Re: Trying To Relocate my Choke Post by: Drunken Monkey on July 22, 2011, 10:04:26 AM I used one of these and attached it to the frame on the left side of the bike:

The downside is I can't find a place that sells these now, but try googling "ignition advance lever" Title: Re: Trying To Relocate my Choke Post by: SwampMonster on July 23, 2011, 06:38:33 PM That lever would work perfectly for what I am trying to do but I am not having any luck finding them like you said. I'm thinking maybe looking into lawnmower parts as much as it hurts me to say that. Thanks for the good idea.
Title: Re: Trying To Relocate my Choke Post by: ducatiz on July 24, 2011, 05:55:44 AM It's a choke lever for a Ducati single (and many others)
Plenty of repros out there http://www.eurojamb.com/ducati-bevel-single-choke-lever-250-350-450-desmo-mv-p-1331.html (http://www.eurojamb.com/ducati-bevel-single-choke-lever-250-350-450-desmo-mv-p-1331.html) $30 This one looks better IMHO and is cheaper http://www.eurojamb.com/ducati-bevel-single-chokeair-lever-250-350-450-by-domino-p-1334.html (http://www.eurojamb.com/ducati-bevel-single-chokeair-lever-250-350-450-by-domino-p-1334.html) Title: Re: Trying To Relocate my Choke Post by: SwampMonster on July 24, 2011, 03:33:23 PM B-E-A-utiful just what I was looking for allready made my order.
