Title: Magnetic Tank Bag and a "dumb" Question Post by: mbalmer on June 17, 2008, 07:15:19 PM I have a magnetic tank bag that is convenient for my phone, GPS, and wallet. As I was riding around I started wondering if it's a bad idea to have my phone (iPhone) in the tank bag. Anyone know if the magnets could cause problems for the cell phone? What about the GPS? I haven't had any problems yet. I know that magnet are not good near computers or TVs.

I even went out of the way to rub them against the magnets. I kept them in the bag for several days and the hard drives worked perfectly after. No data loss. I can't fathom the thought of getting in a wreck and then having to search for my tankbag to call for assistance. |
