Post by: The Mad King Pepe' on July 29, 2011, 02:41:10 PM
Anyone have one laying around that they're willing to loan me. I'll pay in beers. [drink]

I'd rather spend the money on beer than on a tool I'll use once and then loose it somewhere. [cheeky]

No link. It's a real honest to goodness paper coupon...page 25 of the September 2011 issue of Motorcyclist (which I got free), top left corner.

You can use the code (26863472) online but have to pay shipping. Limit 9. Exp 12/2/11. I'm planning to pick one up if others want one and don't have the coupon...just chime in til 8 are spoken for.

They also have:
item 45341 safety wire twister 7.99 coupon 37944238
item 97841 moto stand/wheel chock 39.99 coupon 86345071

Guys those things are going to last you about 1/10 of one job. I've had them, and they're junk! The pin was crooked, the tip of it wasn't flat, the handle wouldn't thread into the body (cast) . For 7.99 I'm sure you'll try it anyways, and I can't blame you. I did. But ye be warned

That I do and it's a decent one, not the Harbor Freight junk. I picked up that one, and it is an ok breaker but you can't use it to rivet anything.

I can find a video on youtube of a unicorn farting rainbows and I would still think that's more likely than seeing an HF chain tool work in the real world.

I actually picked mine up at Cycle Gear in DE. I was buying my Shoei and they had them on the counter, marked down to $20 from $120. Almost picked up two.

What do you mean spun off track? Chain riveters and rainbow farting unicorns are first cousins. [laugh]

I got my cheapo bead breaker and chain popper from Ducatician and have already removed a tire in record time and removed a chain (a big ass 530) off my project bike.

Next, I will be using my cheapass 10 year old harbor freight air compressor to run my costcutter 6 year old harbor freight media blaster to remove the paint from the Oscam wheels to prep them for powder coating.

Just did.  Works like a champ.  I changed the harbor freight line filter and used my harbor freight swivel and 100' line with the harbor freight QD connectors.  Perfection!
