Title: need a spare key
Post by: muskrat on August 06, 2011, 11:25:05 PM
I have an 02 M900 I bought with no red key.  I'd like to make another black key but I can't send the ECU with key to deactivate the immobilizer because in 01 and 02 the brains in Italy wired this shit to the dash cluster.  Am I screwed or should I just buy another gauge cluster?  I know of SOS in Portland but I'm not sure they can fix the problem on this.

once you flash the ecu and remove the immobiliser then you can just cut new keys

i dont know about over there in Aus i can get a key cloned and cut for $100 so can retain the immobiliser

SOS can make you a red key.
And another black key if you want, but you can do that yourself once you have a red key.

so even though this immobilizer is in the dash they can still do it?  remember that 01 and 02 were different.  If so I'd be happy as hell to send the shit ASAP.

I've had them make a full set of keys (1 red, 2 black) supplying them only the instrument cluster and main key lock from a 620.

I'm confident they can do it, but call 'em to confirm.

Remove the two screws and unplug it.
