I've heard that Ducati's going to base a naked bike on the 1098, but that it wouldn't be a Monster. Sure, my speculation is about as reliable as anyone's, but it sort of makes sense: they probably want something angular that's merely a 1098 without bodywork...like the Tuono is to the Mille.

stranger things have been seen on ducati product planning charts, and i AM NOT saying i saw a watercooled multistroodle rendering and timeline on my last visit, so all the DNA folks who read here, i AM NOT saying this. [roll]
