So impending rain killed the longer ride today, but I thought I'd try to make the most of it and get some DP action going. [evil] ;D
I ran across a post at ducati upnorth about ducatidiag software, which allows you to check error codes and such, if you have the right cables. I had the right cable from mapping the daytona, but needed an OBD-Fiat adapter to hook up to the Ducati. Seven dollars and 10 days later, I had the Fiat adapter from China. I originally wanted to find out why my CEL was coming on intermittently.
While poking around on the software site, I found the guy had a program to flash your ecu as well. JACKPOT!!!!! A little expensive at 100 euro, but cheaper than sending it off to any of the places on the web. And it's easy as hell!
Twelve minutes to "dump" the ECU (store your original map).
Two minutes to remove the Fatduc that was assisting the stock ECU.
Ten minutes to download the DP map and it to the ECU.
Two minutes to reset the TPS.
Five minutes to warm up to operating temperature.
Fifteen minutes to set trim the fuel to the best of my abilities without a gas analyzer. (Thanks, Artful!)
Ten minutes to fish out the headlight fuse I dropped at the beginning of this process.
Five minutes to button it all back up (including my swelling again tank latch).
Took a trip to top it off with good quality gas and the seat of the pants dyno says: "Whoa! This thing is a little more brisk and doesn't have the crappy spot that it used to have." Rain falling as I leave the station, so no ride to see how much improvement but hopefully will have a chance to run it later in between storm cells.
And here I was thinking you had finally decided to confess your infatuation with Nate...

Wait, are you really the silver power ranger?
You mean the one from KO-35 with the dual mode super silverizer and the silver cycle?
