As 'Blade Runner' is a personal favorite, I'm skeptical that a sequel/prequel/remake is a good idea.
Thoughts from the rest of the peanut gallery? [coffee]

is there a prequel book to "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" ??....I somehow don't think Philip K Dick did, but I could be wrong.

I've said it before but I am a huge fan of Bladerunner! It was really far ahead of it's time. Any time some one (even the original director) wants to make a prequel or follow up version of a classic I get a little pain in the gut. Yeah, maybe a few have been pulled off over the years but I just have my doubts.
I also love the first two Alien movies. But the article said Alien was a prequel to Scott's 1979 classic. What are they referring to?
I guess I'm with zarn02. I'm skeptical. They will have to prove me wrong.

There's an Alien prequil that's in the works at some level

Bullmake the beast with two backsing shit   [thumbsdown] [thumbsdown] [thumbsdown]
Leave the Brade Runner alone.  The Director's Cut was phenomenal and anyone who messes with it should be crucified.
The new Conan remake/reboot is out now.  What a POS.
There is nothing good about these.
Prequel to blade runner?  It sounds like crap.

Not to my knowledge.

I loved both BladeRunner and Alien. The Alien prequel is finished for release next year.
I don't have much faith in either to be honest.

The Hoff saw some acting talent in him years ago so Conan can't be
that bad.

Remember it's Conan
the Barbarian not Conan the Metrosexual.  I am not expecting Old Vic quality acting.  Schwarzenegger was PERFECT for the role.  It was practically prescient of Doyle.

We are living in tough time gentlemen and women.  Many classics are being remade.  Even Footloose is getting a remake.  And i even think they are using the same car from the original.

You guys are make the beast with two backsing old.
If done correctly, remakes and prequels can be cool. With that said, I don't remember any being done well.

sequels and Prequels often make me worry, but with Ridley Scott behind the scenes, I might give them a go, Ridley always said he wanted to go back and make an origins story about the Alien creature, if you listen to the Directors Commentary on Alien he says he has always wanted to from when the movie was first released.
The Blade Runner Prequel though, not sure if that needs a Prequel. Brilliant film though.
