I siphoned the old gas out, just in case there was water in the tank, put a gallon of new gas in with a bottle of Prestone gas treatment water remover, charged up my battery, and... nothing. The starter keeps turning over but no engine start. Sometimes it'll give a little put put with what sounds like a weak start but then it dies again. I'm out of ideas on what could be wrong or what I should check... does anyone have any suggestions? Title: Re: ...now it just won't start (ideas?) Post by: zooom on August 19, 2011, 04:58:46 AM I know you said you charged your battery...but I have to ask...what voltage is the battery reading at both with key off and after you turn the key on?...just because you "charged" the battery, doesn't mean it held the charge or was able to recover after any attempt to start...
