[leo] st trooper today at springield oh. Wasnt speeding, he happen to turn n Follows n pulls me over says can't c plate.
I was stopped few times this year n none of them said that.
F'n $115 is too much for that. Not worth an hour trip to fight this. I lose anyhow. Then he asks me to turn on my signals to ck they work. He wanted more stuff. Yeah, tell me what this extra request is about?
So bummed. I will cancel my 1st motogp view n c the gods Simoncelli n Rossi my favs.
So it's not just the UK that has arse-holes in uniform... [bang]
I really can't believe that in these troubled times all they can do is stop you for such petty things... [thumbsdown]
Geoff.. [coffee]
I will be there!
Staying at the Marriott downtown. PM me if you want a cell, lets go have a drink!
i'm still thinking about going, but probably not a the race day. :'( i'd be coming out of the louisville area
I'm a goin, I got my ticket in the mail just last friday. Driving from SW Michigan, Sunday only...........
Thought about going, but 6 hours on slab = [thumbsdown]
I'll be there all weekend
I will be there with the rest of the DesmOhio crew. Just look for the Cycle cat shirt. Anyone wanting to camp with us check out the GP post at www.desmohio.com (//http://).
I wish I could make it, but packing takes priority.
Sat & Sun.
Went last year and had a blast. Jorge and Dovi dined at tables next to us. Make sure you're there for free practice and especially qualifying. The sight and sound down on the front straight will blow your mind.

My wife and I will be pulling into the IMS around noon on Friday (coming from Erie, PA) and leaving after the races on Sunday. We're staying at the Marriott downtown (TAft, check your PMs).
If you guys don't know yet, I just found out the flat track races were cancelled yesterday thanks to an email from Ticketmaster (due to the stage collapse last week). Tickets are being refunded. I was looking forward to that, but I'm sure there will be a ton of stuff to do instead.
I'll try to find you guys at the camp sites Chris!
From what I read on the website Ducati owners get access to the Ducati Hospitality Section for themselves plus one. I think you need to bring either your Ducati Owners ID or proof of insurance or registration. Not sure what that really gets you besides a free latte and a wristband but it might be worth checking out. Did anyone else check it out last year? Here's the link:

They do this in Laguna and Indy every year. As an owner, you get access to park on Ducati Island, gear check, and the hospitality tent. In the tent you have coffee, water and some snacks. If you're part of a DOC, then they might have additional events. Also look at the redsnake ride from the dealer to the track, led by our own Grifo.
Just show them your insurance or registration and you license.
Sooo
I will be there on ducati Island.. They have a sweet package deal. I may have an extra parking pass (for a round of stout) if you want to park on ducati island. I will be there friday morning. I am towing th duc if I finish working on the bike tues/wed. Wish me luck either way Iam there. dc
I'll be helping w/ parking @ Duc Island Fri and Sat, then taking my kids to the races Sunday.
I'm local, so if I can be of assistance w/ questions about the track, town, etc... just ask.
We've arrived. Staying at the residence inn on s. Lynhurst.
Be sure you get you alcohol or beer by tonight. No store sales on Sunday. Any beverage allowed as long as its not in a glass container. Coolers are okay as long as it's smaller than 16x16x16. Outside food allowed.
Had a great time. Going next year for sure. If you havent eaten at the Rathskellar downtown its a must. Great German food, great beer selection and decent prices. They've been open since 1884! Highly recomended!! We stayed at the Westin where the Ducati team was staying and they rented about 15 Mercedes SUVs to get themselves around town!! Here's a pic of my baby in front of they're Mercede's lineup.

I hope it comes back next year. Motorcycles on Meridian was out of hand Saturday night. I think if they can't make the GP happen next year it will be AMA Superbike.

Just saw this, but I rode down from Chicago... great time as usual... Was a bit disappointed with the lack of riders on I65 on the way back, we usually take over the highway, but not this year... How about those Harley's... :>
I haven't been to Indy for the GP since '08....but I thought hangin at the Slippery Noodle was awesome and I had an awesome meal at St Elmo's !!!
We (hoosier hooligans) had a blast as usual. Ducati island shenanigans, hanging out with friends I get to see once a year, leading the red snake ride and grandstand choreography.
Awesome.
I was there. #3 in the monster challenge.
If I met you out there, what's good!? If not, how's it going?

Thanks! Great meeting you too, sorry we didn't get a chance to chat more down there. I appreciate the support! Hopefully I'll make it down again next year.
Indy was awesome!
It was a LONG drive home. Flights back east were all canceled, so finalist #2 and I took the rental car and drove back to NY (he lives closeby in CT). 13.5 hours straight through, with a couple quick meal stops.
