A little while ago I sold my '05 620 and got an '07 GT1000. For starters... I love the GT. And while I've thought about the 620 on occasion, I can honestly say I don't miss her. I couldn't afford two bikes so...
But I will say that I tried to stay away from this forum for a while. I lurked but didn't post much. I tried other forums but there's something different about this one. You all know what I mean. The people, the talk, knowledge, the wit... just doesn't exist anywhere else.
So, I'm back... without a Monster but still on a Ducati. I wonder how many other non-Monster riders are active here?
I'm currently a collection of parts rider... [thumbsup]
I haven't had a monster in several years (though I often think I may someday need another), but I still hang around here.
In the words of Rabbit from Super Troopers, "I don't wanna get transferred... have to be a rookie again with some random dudes."
^Wow, obscure reference but hits the nail on the head.
The issue I find is trying to find forums for other bikes and cars that are as good as this one. Early Turbo Mopars? Ehhh, still looking. Kawasaki W650? Good Luck. SRT-4 Neon? Those dudes are Pre-Schoolers.
Nowhere else can I find information on a certain topic that is this relevant, helpful, and varied.
FWIW, I have found a great St. Louis Beer Site if you're looking for one- www.stlhops.com (//http://)
Me! I sold my Monster in March and bought a Bandit 1200, but I still enjoy reading and participating in this forum. I occasionally frequent the Maximum Suzuki Forum for technical issues, but the lack of humor over there is notable. I may also end up with another Monster, or some form of Ducati, in the future.
Too invested in my post count...

Not only that but this is still a pretty good place to hang out. I sold my Monster a couple of years ago and ride an 848 now. I still see that old bike and work on it for the new owner plus I have friends with Monsters that I help work on.
I drop by DucatiSpot but for the most part that place is pretty silly. Most posts read like comic books. Ducati.ms is better by a long shot but I guess I've been around here too long.

I agree, srtforums has its fare share of smart car guys but its so big its riddled with kids.. I'm part of about 8 forums and even without owning a duc, I'm on here the most..
Count me in the no-monster group.
After my S4 burnt I almost bought an RC51 but couldn't pass up the chance to jump on a Hyper.
Even if I'd gone with the Honda instead, I'd still be hanging out here. Kinda hard to leave after being around so long.

[laugh] [laugh] Very true, or at least my brand of humor.
