AND BEYOND!
Congratulations on your Home Improvement Project Adam!!!
Quitter.
Just kidding ;D.... congrats
I never wanted the divorce... I tried to fix things (that didn't work)... but damn does it feel good to be done with the whole thing. Mad props to my lawyer. I went from married to divorced in 2 1/2 months. I can't imagine how much it would suck to be in that process for an extended amount of time.
I'm excited about future prospects... I keep having this same dream over and over. I'm carving through some beautiful twisties on my black monster, when some gorgeous chick pulls along side of me on a white monster. Maybe all it means is that I ride too slow. [cheeky]
Either way, I'm happy to finally be able to move on. Someone drink a beer for me.
[beer]
I can tell you how much it sucks to be in that process for an extended amount of time! [bang] Try two and a half years and we had no kids!! [roll] I went through three lawyers. Crazy woman did everything possible and some things impossible to drag it out and make me even more miserable than I already was. I felt like I was pushing a two ton boulder up Pikes Peak everyday for 2 1/2 years. Two and half months? I can't even imagine what that would have been like. Good for you. I'll be happy to drink a beer in your honor. [drink]
Be safe.
[thumbsup]
Now you can go [Dolph] all you want!
So now that I'm divorced what next? Did any of you guys/gals do anything special to commemorate your newfound freedom? I've had all sorts of advice from my army buddies, ranging from "Now go sleep with all of her friends," to "Buy a new car."
Anyone have any creative (and legal) ideas? Was there anything you found that helped with the transition back to being single? I'm in need of advice, and maybe a little entertainment... Whatcha got for me?
Go buy a new car/bike and sleep with all her friends.
;D
Find a nice young lady, have fun doing things to....eeerrr I mean with her
Buy a new friend and sleep in her car?
To hell with all of that. Go for a bike ride! [thumbsup] [Dolph] Women are like buses. There will be another one in ten minutes. No offense to the fine ladies of the DMF. ;D [bow_down] Ride first. Ladies #2. Getting head squared away is mission #1. Bike rides help.
Thanks for all of the original ideas. [roll]
Congrats! I too made it out in 60 days. Fastwin is wrong, ride whatever you like in whatever order you prefer. ;D
Now join match.com, you wont believe the fun to be had out there but don't invite them to your house - that's a longer story. Make sure they send updated pics too - another story there too. [evil]

Now join match.com
I did... there's not a whole lot to be said about the selection in Kentucky... Most of the women that I found would put a serious hurting on my suspension... motorcycle or otherwise. [laugh]
Aren't you in a place where you can shoot or blow up something? [evil] (not people, just things)
Exercise hard, let out steam, concentrate on something else (riding), make plans and follow them [thumbsup]
Allow just the right amount of time to bring up your kid - I see every day that it pays off :)

He's right. I'm often wrong. But usually not about bikes vs women folk. [laugh]

Why do you need suggestions? It's your life, man.
Surround yourself with friends and do some normal things. Sleeping with all her friends will be fun for about an hour (unless all of her friends are bisexual gymnasts, but hey...). Now is the time to reconnect with yourself. Take a trip by yourself maybe, or go with some single friends.
The Euro is at a low -- $1.35 to â,¬1. Maybe travel to Europe and have a bike tour. Meet a nice Italian chick and have fun.
ok so i obviously can't give you the male perspective (atleast i hope its obvious :) ) but i have had a long term relationship end a few months ago & i have to say i agree with ducatiz ..... taking time for myself has been the best thing ever. & travelling, most of my trips have been within a couple hours from my house, but the change of scenery has helped immensely. i started dating someone fairly quickly after the break up the problem with that is my heart is totally not in it & its really not fair to him...
but with all that said, it is your life, do what makes you happy :)
(Assuming you have the means and time.)
Take a trip. Wander off for a while and do something you've been meaning to do for a long time.
Maybe meet some people while you'r.... wait a damn minute, I seem to be saying the exact things that ducatiz said (now that I'm reading his post).
Right then. Do what he said. [thumbsup]
