Title: Is this a good deal?
Post by: jvax on September 03, 2011, 09:20:06 AM
Found this S4R on a local used bikes website.  Appreciate your opinions.

'07 S4R T, Titanium with black stripe (red frame / black wheels)

21000 miles, priced at approx. 6500$ (converted from local currency).

All stock, except CF clutch cover.  Head fairing and seat cover are missing.

The price is appealing.  This is by far the cheapest used S4R Testastretta I could find in months.  The the mileage is a bit concerning though.

Beside interval service, regular maintenance, red key availability, accident history etc, what else should I ask the dealer if I were to consider buying it?

Oh, and there is no ethanol in our gas, so I think the tank should be fine.

if service records are available (probably not if it's at a dealership) i'd swing for it.  however, that bike look likes it's sitting out in the rain for a sales pic?  not the epitome of caution and those bikes don't do well when mixed with water.
