Title: Bazzaz system for superbikes
Post by: swampduc on September 05, 2011, 01:25:40 PM
This is, of course, a monster forum, but there are a lot of sbk owners here as well, so I thought there might be someone here with some FHE. I wrecked my '07 1098 in February, so naturally, I got another one for the street an am almost done making the wrecked one into a full-time track bike  ;D
I'm thinking about getting one of the combined traction control/quick shifter chips for the track bike, and maybe for the street 1098s. What are your impressions?

No experience at all, but my tech says Duc transmissions are dead reliable until you put a quick shifter on them.

Very good to know, thanks.

Did he elaborate if clutchless upshifts are a problem, or is it related to the quick shifter itself?

I'd like to think the culprit is clutchless upshifts, since the quickshifter should make the process smoother, not cause more problems.  ???

I'm interested because I just installed a Dyno Jet quickshifter on my 748...and it feels way smoother than when I used to do regular clutchless upshifts. Hopefully it doesn't implode...but if it does it does...gotta get speed somewhere, as I'm down on power to pretty much everything I'm allowed to race!  [cheeky]

He did not.

I use the clutchless method too and haven't done any damage that I know of. He probably saw one with a q/s have issues and he has condemned the hardware.
