Title: How to Rattlecan Paint my front fender matte black? Post by: The ModFather on September 07, 2011, 05:47:39 AM I cut the front fender on my 2005 620 with a Dremel to look like the new front fenders on the 696 and it came out great but I accidentally hit it with the Dremel on top and now I have a nasty scratch I'd like to paint over :'(. I'm looking for advice on steps and paint type. I assume I'll need to sand it a bit to get the paint to stick yes or no? Primer yes or no? Best paint to use? Protective clear coat required yes or no? I've been using the Duplicolor Flat Black for some parts but how that turns out appears to be highly dependent on the material and coating its applied to (probably true for most paints I guess). I've heard mention of Valsapr Black Satin as well. Any recommendations on a rattle can paint for matching the OEM Matte Black finish on a 620 Dark? Sorry for the plethora of questions. ???

That should answer a few questions. Title: Re: How to Rattlecan Paint my front fender matte black? Post by: NateNewThread on September 07, 2011, 06:15:58 PM I'd use some primer for a plastic application and use some matte black paint and do many light coats from about a foot away. Make sure that all the bremeling is done first. You don't want to have to re-bremel something after you've already bremeled.
