Title: Does switching over to GP shift on a M696 require rearsets?
Post by: unchikun on September 07, 2011, 04:13:55 PM
I've had GP shift on my other bikes, but haven't had a chance to disassemble to shifter on my M696 (I've only had it for 4 days). I'm having a hard time remembering which way to shift (stupid muscle memory). So I was wondering if switching over to GP on a M696 requires purchasing new rearsets or can I just flip the shifter over?

on the older monster you can just flip the link arm over.

But it doenst feel as direct as an actual GP shifter.

only down side to any of the after market GP shifts is that they are useless once you go down on that side ( ive broken 3 of them)
