Title: Ducati Monster EVO 1100 bar risers and lowering ride height
Post by: mickyg on September 09, 2011, 08:13:30 PM
I am interested in an 1100 EVO Monster, but would like recommendation's re rising the bar height, i.e, using bar risers of swept up bars.

Also being vertically challenged , I need to lower the ride height to about 770mm, so any advice re rear shock/spring mods.

Many thanks.

Some 696 riders have raised their bikes by changing a shock/frame mounting clevis, from a M1100.
Don't know specifics or if/how it can be done on yours, but probably worth looking into.

The front can be lowered by adjusting where the fork sits, in the top and lower triple.

There are probably lots of bar risers out there. Rizoma bars have further rise and sweepback angle.

buy the $20 dollar suspension mount clevis for the 696 to lower the rear
pull the forks through to lower the front
