Don't think this is a derby, but apologies if so: http://litmotors.com/home/ (http://litmotors.com/home/)

that's actually kinda cool...I seriously consider that for a commuter over a Smart Car...

I agree and consider the fact the smart car gets only 33 mpg average.  still sucks for a sticker of 15k for mileage.

Maybe better than a smart car, but why the heck would you consider either?  :o

BTW my wife's civic has more than 2x the interior space of a smart car and gets 10mpg more and it was made in 1993 -- we are going backwards here.  Only point in having a smart car would be putting a 'busa motor in one so you can do wheelies in reverse  [cheeky]

the balancing technology is pretty cool, but to call it anything close to a motorcycle is crazy.  it's really just another tiny, ridiculous car.  only this car just has two wheels, which would keep a lot of people from buying it.

now if they introduced that balancing ability into a real motorcycle without turning it into something else that would be something worth investing in.

I was thinking it would be pretty cool to try hooking the gyros up to some actuators and use them to steer.

i think it would be a disaster. the main point of riding a bike is leaning it. you cannot do that with this design.
