Title: Turn Signals
Post by: jgrimm on September 21, 2011, 11:29:20 AM
Hello fellow Ducati owners. I am new to this forum and new as a Ducati owner. I was wondering if any of you could help me with a small problem I am having with my turn signals. They just stopped working. I have a 2009 696 and have recently installed an LED taillight that integrates the turn signals. I made sure to test everything before I reassembled the rear-end and it was working fine. The next day after my forst ride the headlame and tail/brake lights work, but I have no turn signals. ALso, the fuses are all in tact. PLEASE HELP!

Does Your front turn signals work? If no, try to disconnect the rear light unit. If the front turnlights work without the rear unit connected I think something is wrong with your backlight unit.

The front ones do not work either. I'll try that tonight. I also was told that if one of the turn signal wires came loose, or was pinched that none of them would work. Have you heard this?

I have read about a lot about bad rear light units, thats why i bought mine from Bernard at vizi-tec,
a bit more expensive but alot better. [thumbsup]
A loose connection will give you a fast flashing front signal. a pinched cable should only give you trouble on the side that the error exist.

ALL IS WELL MY FRIENDS!!!! The wires were pinched--fixed the problem and works like a dream.
