until it didn't. Too bad. He would have had a double. Title: Re: WSBK Round 11 Imola SPOILERS!!!!!!!! Post by: fastwin on September 25, 2011, 01:58:42 PM Indeed! [thumbsup]
Title: Re: WSBK Round 11 Imola SPOILERS!!!!!!!! Post by: zarn02 on September 26, 2011, 03:51:36 PM Two great superbike races.
Supersport was good, as usual. The superstock races were also lots of fun. Five races worth watching. Fantastic racing weekend. [thumbsup] Title: Re: WSBK Round 11 Imola SPOILERS!!!!!!!! Post by: Triple J on September 27, 2011, 09:12:42 PM Good races, especially #1. Bummer for Rea for sure.
Title: Re: WSBK Round 11 Imola SPOILERS!!!!!!!! Post by: Raux on September 27, 2011, 09:22:04 PM I think it's more than ironic that Ducati pulls out of WSBK and a guy on a Duc is going to win the championship
And the guy they let go from their MotoGP team is also going to win a championship. Maybe Ducati needs to rethink who's in charge of their race program. Title: Re: WSBK Round 11 Imola SPOILERS!!!!!!!! Post by: zarn02 on September 27, 2011, 09:53:29 PM I think it's more than ironic that Ducati pulls out of WSBK and a guy on a Duc is going to win the championship Ducati pulled out to about the same extent as these two chuckleheads I worked with at a liquor store long ago. They both ended up with pregnant girlfriends. Althea isn't technically a factory team, but it sure seems like one, and there's an awful lot of Corse guys hanging 'round the garage. Title: Re: WSBK Round 11 Imola SPOILERS!!!!!!!! Post by: Triple J on September 28, 2011, 07:54:53 AM And the guy they let go from their MotoGP team is also going to win a championship. He never did that well on the GP team though. He's come on strong in the last 2 years. Title: Re: WSBK Round 11 Imola SPOILERS!!!!!!!! Title: Re: WSBK Round 11 Imola SPOILERS!!!!!!!! Post by: Spidey on September 28, 2011, 12:57:56 PM Watched the Speed broadcast last night. Gotta say, the most exciting part (considering that I already knew the race results) was that Bayliss was in the box. But it turns out he's a much better rider than commentatory. I'll take Martin or Toseland any day. Bummed me out.
Poor Rea. I was happy that everyone on the podium said that Race 2 was basically his and congratulated him on what should have been a win. Did Smrz crash another f'n bike??? Come on, dude. Title: Re: WSBK Round 11 Imola SPOILERS!!!!!!!! Post by: zarn02 on September 28, 2011, 02:22:05 PM Watched the Speed broadcast last night. Gotta say, the most exciting part (considering that I already knew the race results) was that Bayliss was in the box. Who was Bayliss doing commentary for? Eurosport had Hodgson and, eh... somebody. Edit: I do see that you say the Speed broadcast, but I thought they generally picked up a Euro station's commentary for these races. But it has been a long time since I've watched a race on Speed. Did Smrz crash another f'n bike??? Come on, dude. Somewhere there's a crew chief keeping a personal tally... Title: Re: WSBK Round 11 Imola SPOILERS!!!!!!!! Post by: Spidey on September 28, 2011, 02:48:39 PM Edit: I do see that you say the Speed broadcast, but I thought they generally picked up a Euro station's commentary for these races. But it has been a long time since I've watched a race on Speed. For WSBK, Speed is generally Steve Martin and Jonathan Green. It was Green & Bayliss for Imola. I get lost who comments on which races and for which series. I think they use Scott "Deliverance" Russel and those the other SPEED assclowns for US rounds. Or maybe that's just GP. I like Hodgson. I don't remember the race that Toseland was in the box (I think it was WSBK?) with Green, but he was good. For GP, Speed uses the AMA guys to blather for a coupla minutes, and then again when it comes back from commercial. Then cuts to the "world" feed for the real stuff.
