Just to get an idea of what Duc owner prefer. I'm used to lube my chain with Maxima chain wax. In summer weather the viscosity of this brand is perfect because it extend in every part of the chain, but when the temperature become colder rust spot appear quickly and i need to lube very more often.
Motorex.
I've used Maxima for the last 5 years and have been happy with it. no real fling and it works.
drawback it the chain gets grimy. So I clean the chain all up nice with a brush and diesel.
I bought a can of the dupont chain specific lube. It's supposed to have more teflon and Moly and
calcium sterate in it. Supposed to be "self cleaning"? I'll run it like this and see how clean the chain stays.
I use maxama on the duc and the RZ ... but the BMWs-1000rr gets Dupont dry teflon wax . $5 at Lowes
I've been using Maxima Chain Wax, because the really cute parts girl at the Honda shop says to. I like it because it doesn't fling. I hate it because every ounce of crud and filth in the county is stuck on my chain.
motorex
motorex
I use maxima because I never buy chain wax until the last minute so i go to a local shop since i'm too impatient to order the dupont stuff.
Motorex.

Exactly why I don't use Maxima. It might be great stuff in sunny California.
