Post by: Artful on September 30, 2011, 06:48:30 AM Jeff @ Monsterparts used to stock 'em..... but I couldnt find 'em when I just took a look. Maybe squirt him an email.... He was hiding them behind a search for "spacers" [cheeky] http://www.monsterparts.com/p/ADAP/Clip-On+Spacer+Kit.html (http://www.monsterparts.com/p/ADAP/Clip-On+Spacer+Kit.html) They're in stock. Post by: Artful on September 30, 2011, 10:35:01 AM I'm not completely getting it. So how do these fit? Anyone got pics of how these go on? They sandwich in between your MC clamps to move the MC out enough to clear the clip-on clamps. Full-res: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v432/theartfuldubber/IMG_20110723_104040.jpg (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v432/theartfuldubber/IMG_20110723_104040.jpg) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v432/theartfuldubber/IMG_20110723_104040.jpg) IF you squint you can see the darker black metal between the halves of my MC clamp. That's the spacers. Without them the MC won't clear the clip-ons. Title: Re: Do cyclecat clipons need spacers for coffins? Post by: The ModFather on September 30, 2011, 10:37:45 AM Okay I get it thanks a bunch!! But now I've got another issue. I didnt realize I had to take the whole top triple off to put these on. :-X I thought they were like the Woodcraft and that the clamp came apart into two separate pieces that attach to the forks. Instead it slides down over the forks which requires removal of the top triple. I've never taken my top triple off how much of a pregnant dog is that?
Title: Re: Do cyclecat clipons need spacers for coffins? Post by: Artful on September 30, 2011, 10:54:57 AM Meh, it isn't that bad. If you aren't screwing with your lower clamp you don't even really need the front end off the ground (though I would do it anyway).
Just a few bolts and it will come off. Title: Re: Do cyclecat clipons need spacers for coffins? Post by: ajw85 on September 30, 2011, 07:24:41 PM Mine are black and are sandwiched between the grey
