Title: '97 M900 - Torque Values
Post by: greenohawk69 on September 29, 2011, 01:25:34 PM
Am looking for torque values for a '97 M900.  Did a search and the mod's were pointing peeps to this thread:  http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=373.0 (http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=373.0)  .  This thread is showing torque values for a '91 - '96...what differences between those years and a '97?  I do not have a manual - yet.  Thanks.

The values in the 91-96 chart are close enough for your bike.

There is very little difference in the early models

Thanks.  I did not see a torque value for the rear sprocket.

What is the torque value for the rear sprocket?  Searching in another post, the OP had a 2000 M750...and the response = 34 ft/lbs.  Is that correct/close enough?  If not, what should it be torqued to?

I use industry standards for fasteners if I can't find a published spec.

That number would be about right for a 10mm fastener... about 45nm

Is that the fastener size?

Thanks.

The nut needs a 22mm socket.  Using the info you gave in the previous post and extrapolating...I get 99nM or ~ 73 ft/lbs for the 22mm nut.

That would be the axle nut, not the sprocket.  83Nm - 61 ft.lbs
