Title: Selling my 748 to finish a couple projects --- SOLD
Post by: M.N. on October 01, 2011, 11:30:03 AM
Hi all, sorry for the self-serving post but need to sell my 748 to finish a couple projects (dirt bike road race conversion and restoring my pop's triumph).  Been riding the monster daily and want the 748 to go to someone local that will give it the 'abuse' it wants.  It's on craigslist right now at an artificially high price of 5.5k$ to compensate for the craigslist practice of rabid low-balling.  Info below and thanks for looking.  By the way, located in Adams Morgan.  Much appreciated. - Mike

So that's your bike I've seen when coming home from AM via the Rock Creek Parkway.

Hi, sorry for delayed reply.

Pepe - thanks!
LoneStar - think you won't have seen it unless I was riding it, lives in a garage.
Zoom - yep.

Thanks for looking.  Hate to sell it, but kinda have to.  Hope it goes to someone that will appreciate it.

Gorgeous.

If it goes to someone here, I have a complete set of sharkskinz and a race fairing stay still boxed at my house from when my 748 deal fell through.   you know, for your track days with M.N.'s scooter.

COOL...who did the work? and did they use Wiseco or Pistoli or which kit?

Statler - thanks, sorry to hear the deal fell through.  Hope someone (or you) puts your skins to use.  Building a different bike for the track as I couldn't let myself throw this one in the kitty litter (sentimental I guess).
Zoom - believe the work was carried out by previous owner using wiseco, in Atlanta somewhere.  Full disclosure in sale, as word of mouth is nothing and no receipt but was provided by original seller, it does pull much 'tougher' than other 748's I have ridden (although 3 is not a sufficient sample size to make an accurate judgement call).  Couldn't sell without test drive and not to an  unfamiliar (with this model) seller.  Bike has preformed phenomenally during my ownership except for a few electrical gremlins last year that I hunted and killed.

Price chop due to greedy veterinarians. $4500 to CAM.  Thanks.
