Alright as with my newbie posts I have to give the following info -
Model - '02 M750 21K on it, stock suspension
Me - 6'3 225lbs and this is my light weight dropped 20lbs on depolyment.
Enviroment - Commuting, possible track days.
Anyways I was riding this week and I realized that my suspension needs revamping. I had some hard braking moments and the nose completely utterly dipped and didn't like my weight. Previous owner weighed prob 130 at most. Let's just say that I bent my license plate on the rear fender over a bump...
I am looking at my options b/c I want to get this completed asap. Looking as the monster is a frankenstein of parts I want to get the mid range stuff, but I need advice on the parts
SBK Forks - 748 Showas from ebay - seeing that the rate either is .95 or 1.0 they
Triple Tree - I can get bored on ship by our Mechs out to 53 - Clip ons will come too
Rear shock - Ohlins vs. Showa - as I am finding both on the fleabay. Also what model will fit? Looking for the drop in solution.
The main concerns is that the brakes match up and its "drop in" if that can be used.
I know I should have gotten better bike out of the get go but oh well that is life.
Thanks for the help.

not sure about the front brake setup of the M750 vs 748,
but I would think you're on the right track for the front suspension but still may need to change out the springs.
but for the rear I would think you could look at an old ST unit as they carried more weight on them than the SBK rears and still may need to work on the spring. just not sure about fitment.
you're about 65 lbs more than the typical Ducati stock setup. and if your previous owner did do the springs for his weight....
yeah, whatever forks you get, send them to Rick at Cogent Dynamics ( www.motocd.com (//http://) -BTW, his website sucks, but his suspension work most certainly DOES NOT!) and tell him how you ride/what kind of riding you do and your weight both normal and then with full gear on...and you'll not be happier than after you get forks that are set correctly for your weight and riding style...and while you are at it, a rear shock from an ST4s bike would be a huge improvement as well, and just a simple set of adjustments and setting will help-which Rick can also set it up for you as well...bolt in and go!
