Title: '01 M750 Won't shift. Help?
Post by: Zak on October 01, 2011, 09:10:24 PM
Alright, so this one is pretty straight forward.  I was riding home, went to shift up from 1st to 2nd, but it just stuck at neutral.  Now, it refuses to shift either direction regardless of circumstances.  I can literally STAND on the shift pedal.  It starts up, runs and coasts in neutral just fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Zak

Def. sounds like the shifter mech is out of spec due to adjustment or a broken spring.

There is an upgrade kit that basically puts the superbike parts in.  I would also check and from what sounds like the stop plate is probably out of spec, so I would change that while in there.   Should take about an hour and a half start to finish.
