I was looking thru the manual and it says that the low and high beams are the same. but looking at the bulb they are not. I tried the search function and was not able to find an asnwer. by the way it is 11 m796.
Where do you see that? I've looked at mine and it says "bulbs" and in the back lists two 55W H7's. You have (2). ;)
M796 Low beam is h7 , high beam is h1. both are different bulb .

Unfortunately this site/forum does not require that you give your location. Where are you? In the NAS (North American Spec) 796 manual on page 116 it lists two H7's (12V-55W). What does yours say, or is the manual incorrect?
the manual is incorrect. search the forum and you'll see that 696's also have the same type in their manuals.
