Title: What in the blue blazes...
Post by: Pip on October 11, 2011, 09:50:59 PM
IS THIS THING?!?!?!?!?

I came off of my 1976 Honda CB250G5, and I can't figger out what the hell it is. Any of you vintage bike guys wanna lend a new pup a hand?

Hmm... I seem to think that maybe my buddies old CB550 had a buzzer, or speaker of some sort that made a noise when the turn signals were engaged.

I offer absolutely no guarantee that I know what the hell I'm talking about. My brain could have just invented that memory... [roll]

it looks like the speaker off of an old rotary telephone when you unscrew the bottom of the handset... my vote 1st car/motorcycle phone (not really just being silly)  ;D

I think ZARN02 is right, and if my aging feeble memory serves me right, its the thing that goes BEEP  BEEP  BEEP  BEEP when the turn signals flash, it was a forerunner to self cancelling turn signals.

Zarn, Mick- Thank you guys so much! I've been looking all over the web to see if I found anything like it with no luck. You guys are awesome.

Elyse- I've been yelling into this thing for over an hour, but no one will answer the other end!!  [bang]  [cheeky]

I'm not sure it'd be possible to hit 88mph on this little thing, but I'll let you know what happens when I do.

And congrats on breaking the thou, Elyse!  [clap]

Your actions are being secretly tracked by a black bag government agency. Throw that thing away immediately and watch your six! [thumbsup] ;D

Maybe its a back up beeper. I just usually yell "BEEP, BEEP, BEEP" when backing up.
