... we need a zombie emoticon. [popcorn]
I have been giving my DVR burnt offerings to make sure it records.. I mean, beyond putting it in the schedule.... and putting a UPS on the DVR and the main box so no excuse for a power outage.
I can't wait to sit on the sofa pumping my Remington 870 while watching it.
C and I watched the Blu-Ray of Season 1 Thursday & Friday evening. Currently it's on AMC, so we're watching it again between doing stuff around the house.

There was what appeared to be a streetfighter laying in the ditch when the zombies came up the road after they found the trucck full of water. [thumbsup]

I thought it was a blue Monster.
It was an s2r .
70" HDTV helps
I missed it.. forgot to record.. so recording the 4am one later and the rest in season.
I didn't care for the ending of the premiere. It was a gratuitous setup. When we were watching I made a gunshot noise about 2 seconds before. It was too easy.
They need to do something big with this, no reason to have done that.

Well, maybe you read the comics? :) I'm hoping the next episode is close to the comics because I'm looking forward to yelling at my TV.
I'm all ready for next week's episode! Gonna go shoot some Zombies on the Wii now.

I still want to know what the hell CDC guy whispered into Grimes' ear before the place self-destructed James Bond style.
What a friggin tease that he almost said it over the radio and then changed his mind. [bang]

that's a screenwriter's technique when they don't know where the story is going later.
there may or may not be a flashback to that moment down the road.
don't sweat it.
I stayed up to past midnight watching all the previous episodes they showed before the premiere. I love my DVR!! [thumbsup] I'm paying for it right now. Feeling very sleepy and a little zombie-like! Mmmmm.... bacon! [popcorn] [bacon] [drool] It's a little redundant since I have said it so many times before but I love zombie stuff. Is that bad? [laugh]

As long as you buy them dinner and get permission to touch it, it's ok.

Going to the judges on this one - Sugarcrook, is that in the comics?
Finally got a chance to watch the whole thing last night. It was good, but I am with ducatiz - I know the show, and in fact the whole genre is predicated on gotcha moments, but they can't be too predictable, and they can't be the tent pole for the whole show. All the time, anyways.
It was solid, if a little unsatisfying for a 1.5 hour premiere. How about those 75 commercial breaks by the way? Looking at the torrents, the total run time for the show minus commercials was about an hour [thumbsdown]

Here's the thing, I may have to stop watching The Walking Dead.
I love the show. Normally this type of show presses all my buttons in a good way. But here's the thing, I can watch blood and guts and veins in the teeth without any problem. But for some reason I can't stomach...
a) Watching anyone get an injection (Pulp fiction was a laugh riot, until Vincent shot up) So far this hasn't been a problem in Walking Dead, but...
b) I especially can't handle watching kids get hurt. I stopped reading the graphic novel Walking Dead for just this reason (Spoiler alert: The comic makes the show look like Leave It To Beaver) and I'm afraid this may just carry over to the TV series as well...

The whole CDC thing wasn't in the comics, so that part is a little off the reservation. Anyone's guess where the show runner is going with it.
Sadly, he's going to the unemployment line...

darabont's departure isn't news. the question is why and no one is talking.
my gut tells me that someone wanted to remain true to the comic story and someone else disagreed, but i don't know which is which.
I think Darabont isn't talking because he can't - others, as the article observed, are actors on a zombie show where they are just a quick edit away from being zombie food

I heard the rumor was that Frank was upset because AMC slashed his budget and wanted to have more product placement in the show and he didn't like it, but mainly the budget was the issue.
Looking it up real quick found that the budget was slashed form 3.4mill/epp. to 2.75mill/epp, about 20%. (source: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/walking-dead-what-happened-fired-221449 (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/walking-dead-what-happened-fired-221449))
I also remember reading somewhere that Frank thought his budget was going to increase, not be slashed.
Anyways, let's hope this great show doesn't become crappy because of money hungry executives that run the talent out the door.
This is one of the first shows I watch when I get access to steam videos.
Steam videos? Cholo you are weird.
Outside of a petting zoo, when's the last time you were able to walk up to a deer in the wild?
Too far fetched.
When's the last time you were able to stand 100 yards from a 6000 deg fire?
But the zombie think is perfectly acceptable.....

total runtime for a 30m comedy is about 17m... total runtime for a typical 1hr show is about 42m...
1hr runtime out of 1.5 aired isn't so surprising.
