Title: M100 - Engine ECU light on, running rough?
Post by: mickb on October 19, 2011, 01:46:47 AM
Going to work today, the above happened, turned back & limped home. Has been running fine up till now, any clues as to where to start looking?

I do have a Rexxer box, will this give me any more info on diagnostices?

Cheers.

Yes, your Rexxer will allow you to read the error codes logged by the ECU.  I suggest you go plug it in and pull the codes so we can get an idea of whats making it unhappy.....

Dunno  :-\

At the risk of stating the obvious.... maybe you have a malfunctioning coil?

You've checked the plugs and leads all the way back to the coils?  Were you riding in the rain?  Recently washed the bike?

You think  [bang]

sorry, on a more serious note - bike was standing for 2 weeks in a cold garage while I was on hols, ran ok on Tues, on Wed started playing up. Tried resetting the code, checked the plug leads were in ok, but still the same. Not washed on ridden in rain recently.

Is there any way of checking resistance / continuity without removing tank/airbox,etc?
