Title: Re: Monster EVO Shorty Exhaust Post by: Raux on October 19, 2011, 03:32:58 PM Cut three inches off the midpipe
Title: Re: Monster EVO Shorty Exhaust Post by: loopsrider on October 19, 2011, 05:20:10 PM Needs a couple inches removed just before the muffler.
The muffler looks weird covering the tire and wheel. Removing a couple inches of pipe would fix that...JMO Title: Re: Monster EVO Shorty Exhaust Post by: nikkimonster on October 19, 2011, 06:14:42 PM how loud compared to stock?

The turned out look on your other idea is interesting. Wonder if you'd get a hot foot in stop and go traffic? . I have it on my trackbike. Must sound nasty on yours [evil]
I think both look great, but I'm leaning towards the higher previous position. Actually I think it's the shiny band clamp that I don't like. How much clearance do you get with the heel of your foot when riding? I'm thinking if I was riding it, I would probably be resting/hitting my heel on it. Title: Re: Monster EVO Shorty Exhaust Post by: loopsrider on October 20, 2011, 02:21:16 PM Final version. (http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/3746/20111020113425.jpg) I really like the looks of that... well done [thumbsup] ....flows very well with the seat. What are the particulars on this system? It's something I would be interested in doing with my 696. I just wonder anout clearance on the dual sided swingarm of the 696... I also wonder about the heat centeralized near the footpeg. Title: Re: Monster EVO Shorty Exhaust Post by: Gus Duc on October 20, 2011, 09:00:20 PM Nice [thumbsup]
Now all you need is a red spring on that rear shock & you're good to go....it really stands out now that you've opened up the rear end. Title: Re: Monster EVO Shorty Exhaust Post by: Slim1899 on October 21, 2011, 02:04:41 AM I know it's just a cell phone video but that sounds wicked [thumbsup] Did you change anything else? Air Filter, ECU???
Title: Re: Monster EVO Shorty Exhaust Post by: jvax on October 21, 2011, 07:12:23 AM man that is one badass exhaust [evil] looks and sound great [thumbsup] Title: Re: Monster EVO Shorty Exhaust Post by: asado on October 21, 2011, 07:35:05 AM I know it's just a cell phone video but that sounds wicked [thumbsup] Did you change anything else? Air Filter, ECU??? Thanks. Everything is stock. I have a spare if anyone is interested. Not the best weld job but it gets covered by the clamp anyways. Weights roughly 3lbs vs the almost 15lbs boat anchor stock exhaust. Better video Shorty (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99iDN2U0GJc#) Stock Stock (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2GzoEU68xA#) (http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/8575/dsc00533i.jpg) Title: Re: Monster EVO Shorty Exhaust Post by: nikkimonster on October 21, 2011, 02:47:35 PM just grind weld to smooth and spray paint matte black.
