Title: Parking garages in S.F.
Post by: Meltz on May 06, 2008, 06:52:54 PM
If you have more than one motorcycle, but are able to share one space in a parking garage, do you pay per bike or per space?  I'm specifically thinking about the one right across the street from Union Square Macy's...I think it's Geary?  Thanks for any help!

You probably know, but the Union Square garage has moto parking for a flat rate of $5 per bike.  The Stockton garage also has moto specific parking, and the rates are set accordingly. I forget what they are, tho.  Better yet, there's street parking on O'Farrel and Grant, among other spots, and that's .25 an hour.

I would guess that garages don't care what's filling up a car space, but if you use a car's space, you'll pay car rates.

Actually, I didn't know garages have special motorcycle rates.  Thanks for the info, enzo!

Not all of them do.  Some will charge car rates even if you don't take a car spot. :P

The one at 4th & Mission also has Moto space. Its on the Alley side of the garage. I forget what they charge but it's less than the Car.

Thanks for the replies.  We ended up driving, but I saw MC parking in the Ellis O'Farrell garage, which was the one I was thinking about.
