Mozilla Firefox 3 is out. There is a seemingly cool add on called "Foxmarks" that syncs bookmarks across different computers and serves as a backup. I cant get it to install though. Anybody using version 3 yet?
i tried downloading it tuesday, but my internet connection took a shit.
have a friend who installed it, and seemed to dig it.
(right then... i'm not actually helpful .)
Not to be a dick and I usually don't even notice..... but this thread is WAY outta place. I kept clicking GMF and thinking I clicked the NMC when I saw this......
They have a Ducati Monster version!
I've been using it for about 4 months now. I like it just fine, but I don't find it any better than FF2 so far. Firefox is the greatest development browser because of Firebug, but when I'm not debugging, I prefer to use Safari - it's just quicker.
Have had it for about 2 weeks, not much different ;D

I've noticed the same thing happening with Firefox. And I've been using FF3 for months.
But on average I have probably 10 tabs open.
I usually have less than that and was having a problem. I am now back to IE with no problems. It's just, in general, slower than Safari was when it was working right...
I heard there was an issue about having more than 14 instances of flash (ads, videos, etc) open on PC. I downloaded it wednesday for Mac and for the most part enjoy it.

Been using it for a while too. Nothing noticeable also. My only gripe is the loss of some add-ons until they're updated. Thank God both Flashblock and Adblock Plus are compatible!

I was commenting on Safari for Mac actually, I can't comment on the WIndoze version. I do testing in IE6/7 on a VMWare XP image and if I had to use either one of those browsers (especially 6) on a regular basis, I might kill myself. Also, I believe a new version of Safari for Windows was released a couple days ago, maybe it addressed your tabbed browsing issue?
I just downloaded FF3 last week and I haven't really noticed anything too different. The only thing that really stood out was the new location bar. I don't like it, it just bugs me.

Don't do it, it's not worth it!!!!
Ok, I got a new laptop recently and installed FF3. and as i type this i have been notified that FF 3.0.3 is available. Anyway under the tools menu there is a foxmarks menue. I logged in and just like that, all my bookmarks were there! I thought there would be some kind of a little "deal" to it but nope. They just magically appeared. No fuss No muss.
been using FF3.0.5 for a bit now
seems to crash a little more often than earlier versions, but still a lot better than IE.anything
