Steve - let us know if there is a 1199 there - the reports I've had from o/s say it really is a quantum leap from the 1198...

Can't wait to see it in the flesh!

I was there today and yep there is a beautiful looking Panigale present [drool]. Also plenty of other stuff to see and do and plenty of bikes to sit on, worth getting down to take a peek. [thumbsup]

Here's some snap shots (sorry about photo quality)

If you are going to see this bike make sure you show enough interest in it so the salesman gives you  the MCN
magazine detailing the development and tech features of the Panigale , bloody good read and shows this bike is more than just a pretty face.

Electronic Suspension shenanigans. Click a button, change suspension. Same thing is on the new multistroodle.

Took some shots of the spec sheets.

The Panigale holds impressive specs when compared to the 1198.

I was also reading that the Panigale has the biggest pistons (112 mm) of any current car or motorcylce production engine

I went out Saturday, I have to say I was so excited to see the 1199, in reality I am dissapointed.
Yes, the Technology is amazing (yet to be proven though) but I think it looks well... cheap. Way too much plastic for my liking. I understand that there has been a lot of money invested in R&D but for a premium brand the finish is not that good. Base model I can accept plastic bits, but on the S (and Tricolore) version it should be finished off better. And that rear shock  [roll] that would have to get in the way and there are cables coming straight up through the top. I cant understand why the cables dont have a 90 degree fitting / connector that sends the cable back under the seat  ??? I reckon that is why they put it side against the wall!
Dissapointed  :-[

For me, stand out bike at the show is the Bimota DB8  [drool], spectacularly presented machine.
But by far the worst presented (and looking) bike at the show was the Husky Nuda,  :-X a new model, plonked in the corner... maybe because it is so FUGLY.
