Hello, SoCal Monsters!
My name is Brian and I have been living in LA for a little over a year now. The j-o-b moved me down from The Bay Area late last year and unfortunately, also resulted in less riding time than I would've liked!
My scoot has recently been serviced by Speeddog and is running silky smooth once again. I live in El Segundo and am looking forward to joining you all on some group rides in the near future.
Here's an obligatory pic of the girl…

Ciao,
b.
Welcome Brian, gorgeous scoot. [thumbsup]
Welcome man [thumbsup]
I'm a Santa Cruz convert myself.......no more Monster but I do have an 05 ZX10R @ I work near LAX so if you a green blur with a Ducati Suomy Superpole helmet, that was me ;D
I still miss 84, 9, Skyline, Alpine and all the roads in between...
I'm planning on being out and about around Malibu this Saturday in case anyone is interested in meeting up. [Dolph]
Welcome to Socal. I'm another Norcal transplant from the Monterey Bay. Definitely better riding weather, but at least down here in the OC the roads aren't as fun.
Welcome to the party [beer]
Lots of playground in Malibu... I'd say just stay away from the Snake- Section of Mulholland by the rockstore- and all will be well ( lots of squids and cruisers gravitate there... they dont like the other roads too much)
Angeles Crest is good wen you get the chance also
Yep, The Snake is a nice stretch, but more enjoyable for me when the squids and spectators aren't out.
Definitely still need to make it to Angeles Crest.
What I like about the Snake is that it's never in terrible condition like most of the other roads in Malibu inevitably are.
Welcome to SoCal!!! You'll be missing The Bay in no time. I miss it and I never lived there!!
Nice bike!!! Keep an eye out for a red S2R800 with a belly pan...sold mine to a guy in your area earlier this year. Once youve tried the Crest, come out my way and I'll show you what Ventura County has to offer.

Thanks, will do!
Looks like a lot of snow fell on the Crest these past week.
yeah it's been closed at Islip Saddle since thanksgiving, but i checked friday and it was chains required 6 miles passed Newcomb's
pretty much a done deal until spring, now.
oh, and welcome b.
Sounds good. I suppose I can keep myself entertained for a few more months.
On another note, anyone have any recommendations on a solid track day organization? I've only been once before up at T-Hill and have been craving it ever since.

i hear good things from my buddies about TrackDaz and Motoyard. I think TrackXperience is another, and TrackTactics maybe?
I've ridden with TrackXperience and Motoyard and dig 'em both...
Motoyard has added Chuckawalla and Buttonwillow to their 2012 schedule too
Thanks, Gents! I'll check them out. [thumbsup]
