Title: Red brake fluid, who woulda thought
Post by: FIFO on December 11, 2011, 11:00:52 PM

As not to embarrass the owner of the bike no names will be mentioned. but if you pm Teff he might tell you who it is. :-X

Even though the Red  brake fluid looks like some sort of Christmas bling.
I am lead to believe it is more of an attempt buy the owner to win back his beloved Doc concourse  trophy for the 4v monster class  in 2012 buy going all out on every detail possible. ;)
the knives are out

I personally would prefer to see Red and Green fluids.
Red  on the port side and Green  on the starboard side, as most of us have found, riding with this Dude usually ends up a Nautical affair. [laugh]

FYI the clear tubing is not PVC it won't work, you need  Tygon  tubing  brake fluid compatible, 1/4 id is required for Ducati, it is available from the US. from Desmotimes , Moto wheels or ebay
You will need at least 2ft if using Rizoma reservoirs, includind the rear brake.

And another note Brake fluids and automotive oils are generally different colours so they don't get mixed up.
So i do hope this Dope has used the correct fluid and not ATF transmission fluid which is Red. and end up with the brakes on fire [laugh] :-[

Yeah Mick i doubt he is dopey enough to use ATF. :P
Though I think it is even worse, He used food colouring dye which is water based and mixes rather well with brake fluid as it is hydroscopic.
And will reduce the boiling temperature which will reduce braking, and allso cause rust [laugh] [laugh]

I heard about this and immediately contacted the owner, from the information i received it is all a beat up to see how gullible "pork chops" really is..... [roll]
The red illusion in the hose is caused by reflection from the red tank , plus thrown in also, the fact that he took the photos in the middle of the lunar eclipse. I contacted Sydney Observatory and they verified all of this....

Let me prove all this in two videos......look at the lines in the first one..........and for the second video.....just see to what lengths the shit stoops to hide his love of tea buns.....The Cook brought out four pieces, Wobbart was able to knock back his third piece while talking.....the only redness i see is in his face..............

You can get coloured brake fluid.

These guys sell the same brake fluid in both blue and amber: http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/accessoryDetail.jsp?ID=21 (http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/accessoryDetail.jsp?ID=21)

The intention is that if you alternate between the two colours, you'll be able to see when you bled all the old fluid out 'cause the bled-out fluid with change to the new colour.

I bet for enough money they'd colour-match your ppg paint codes ;-)

big (Does it come in "dirty black" colour?)
