Title: Re: Diamond in the Brough Post by: cyberswine on December 16, 2011, 11:44:24 PM Oh yeah, the sound and smell :) When I was a kid in England I'd see the occasional Brough on the road, along with the more common Vincents and Ariel Square Fours. A smaller Douglas Dragonfly once in while too. Don't think I can afford that kind of nostalgia any more......
Title: Re: Diamond in the Brough Post by: mickyvee on December 17, 2011, 05:11:57 AM [drool] I was at a vintage bike show in the summer, with my '72 Suzuki Hustler. I was eyeing up a very nice BS, when the owner turned up. The bike had been bought brand new by his grandfather, back in the early '30s, and then passed down to his father, and then to him. He said that the spiralling prices were a curse, as he was continually worried about it getting stolen. I can see his point. Having said that, I'd still love one!
