Title: After the wash...WD 40?
Post by: 118811 on December 31, 2011, 05:42:42 PM
After washing or a ride in the rain...does anyone use WD40 or similar
Lubricant on the engine etc?

I always did on all my motocross bikes,
Just wondering if it is advisable on Ducati's?

I have friends that use Pledge.

Works for them.

I just let mine develop a patina.

WD40 is like Franks Hot Sauce. I put that shit on everything! Even my wife likes it. She said it stops the doors from creaking so the baby can sleep.  ;D

I prefer to smear chocolate on mine.  The cocoa beans have a natural oil that helps protect the finish, and it's also yummy.

I've used WD-40 on my bikes and I like how it cleans and shines.
